ABOUT US
The village Bussière-Badil lies within the natural surroudings of park Périgord-Limousin. It is a picturesque village known for its 12th-century Romanesque church. In the Middle Ages it was an important centre for monksy, a doctor, a small market, a baker and a restaurant. A tennis court, several golf courses and lots of trekking possibilities are within reach. The village is only seven kilometres removed from one of the largest markets of the Dordogne and near a lot of tourist attractions.
On `le Bourg` you will find the beautiful house of the painter Katelijne van Oudenaarde. Here the course participants will stay. They can aslo choose to stay elsewhere. The 'maison de maître' dates back to 1833. Guests stay in large double rooms. We have space for workshops and activities, and it`s possible to exhibit your own work. Both the surroundings, and the garden and the house are inspiring, therefore beautiful art work can be made!

COURSE
Intensive course, the groups are small. Intensive course, the groups are small. Teaching is given to beginners and advanced students with personal attention. You can paint in the studio, in the romantic garden at the adjacent lake or on location. Attention is paid to the choice of subject, sketching, composition, mixing paint, color, interpretation, problem solving, the basic principles of fine painting. In consultation, the lessons can be adjusted in connection with any trips.
About the teacher Katelijne van Oudenaarde (The Hague, 18/12/1947) studied at the Royal Academy and the Free Academy. She was a member of the Artim and Jobart group and exhibited throughout the Netherlands and has also exhibited widely in France. This artist has been published in Visual Netherlands and Job Art, among others. She specializes in fine painting. Her subjects range from still lifes and nature to portraits and nudes.
Students can choose to stay in the house or just take the course. The intensive course lasts 5 days, from Monday to Friday. Course dates

There are many beautiful castles in the Dordogne. enough sights to explore. Nearby (Golf International de la Prèze) there is a spectacular golf course, due to its beautiful, natural location with hills, forests and many water features.
